As you probably know, there are many reasons to use e-cloth. Caroline at Olive You Whole shared with her readers why she chooses e-cloth over other cleaning methods.
- A higher fiber density works in your favor - more fibers means more little hands to scrape dirt, grease and grime off surfaces.
- e-cloths remove over 99% of bacteria from all hard surfaces -- including E.Coli and Listeria.
- Bacteria removal is a major feature when purchasing cleaning products. The fact that regular cleaners do it with toxic chemicals is often overlooked. e-cloth removes bacteria using just water!
- e-cloths are reusable and guaranteed up to 300 machine washes. If washed weekly, that's nearly 6 years of use which keeps containers, bottles and paper towels out of landfills.

"They're so powerful, all you have to clean with is water."
Clean with Just Water
You all know by now that it's my mission to create a toxic-free home! That means both eating as clean as possible and removing all toxic chemicals from our home. I create my own toxic-free cleaners for this purpose! Another option that I've recently found is JUST WATER cleaning with e-cloths!
More fibers work better!
What makes e-cloths work are the fibers! Most cloths sold only have 25,000-75,000 fibers per inch. e-cloths have 3.1 Million fibers per inch!
Because e-cloths are made of polyester and nylon, they don't truly "absorb" anything into the cloth. Instead, everything they come into contact with (even bacteria!) is trapped within the fibers. The more fibers, the more trapping!
Removes 99% of Bacteria
We just learned that e-cloths trap bacteria. The fibers are basically scraping the bacteria off of a hard surface! Then when you wash the cloths with hot water, all that bacteria just goes down the sink! Goodbye, bacteria!
No more toxic cleaners!
Toxic household chemicals are SO bad for us!! Just look at this quote from a Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons study:
"Women who work at home have a 54% higher death rate from cancer than women working away from the home."A 15 year study concluded that it is directly linked to the toxic household chemicals in the home.
A lot of people are trying to get rid of bad bacteria, but what they don't know is the chemicals they're using to do so could be even more harmful for them!
Let's cut it all out and just use water!
Better for the Environment
How can something made of nylon and polyester be good for the environment, you ask? When you're washing with e-cloths that last for approximately SIX YEARS, think of all of the paper towels and toxic chemicals in plastic bottles you're saving!
